MEET Rachel

Before photography, my life looked pretty different. I joined the U.S. Army right out of high school and was prematurely discharged due to injury and I still work in the construction legal world helping contractors who aren’t getting paid. So weddings weren’t exactly the obvious path ... I came into them from real life, not romance.

The turning point was actually my divorce. I sold our house, used part of the money to upgrade my camera gear, and just… went for it. What started as a leap turned into the work that makes the most sense for who I am.

Couples often describe me as a best friend with a camera for the day, which honestly feels right. I help things flow, keep people grounded, handle family dynamics with empathy and humor, and make sure you never feel alone or awkward inside your own wedding. I bring emotional support and levity in equal measure - calm when you need it, hype when you want it.

Outside of weddings, I’m a mom to a wildly spunky little girl named Denver. I’m happiest camping somewhere quiet, cooking, watching hockey, or at a concert with music that makes you feel everything at once. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, green is my favorite color, and caffeine is non-negotiable.

At the core of all of this is what I believe about love. Finding your person in this chaotic world and choosing each other through all of it,  the ease, the hardship, the ordinary days - is everything. I care deeply about the couples I photograph. I want to miss you a little when your gallery is delivered. I want the photos on your walls to take you back not just to how things looked, but how it felt,  the weird prompts, the laughter, the moment you realized this is your family now.

Because this isn’t just photography. It’s history. Your history.
